In these challenging and uncertain times, as we face the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential that we keep our hearts and minds open and look for opportunities to support and encourage one another.

Onsite Programs Temporarily Unavailable

Although our Dolphin Quest locations are not currently offering guest programs onsite, we continue to provide our animals the absolute best care, including enriching daily activities full of mental and physical stimulation.

Daily “Dolphin Quest LIVE” Virtual Experiences

We miss our visitors and the dolphins are missing their visitors too. Recognizing the importance of connecting with each other and nature during this time of social distancing, Dolphin Quest is offering daily Facebook live sessions called Dolphin Quest LIVE at 9:00 am HST/ 3:00 pm EDT. Complimentary virtual field trips are also available for teachers and their students. Increased Safety Protocols

The health and wellbeing of our guests, team members, and animals remains our highest priority. In response to COVID-19, we have taken additional measures to enhance our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with guidance from global and local public health authorities, including the CDC and WHO. As programs become available again at Dolphin Quest, you’ll see the following heightened safety precautions in practice:

  • Increased cleaning frequency of public and work areas using disinfectant
  • Increased hand-washing frequency
  • Increased frequency of antibacterial hand sanitizer use
  • A friendly “Handshake Free” environment to reduce non-essential contact
  • Dolphin experiences take place outdoors and are designed for small numbers of participants (no more than 6 people in a group), naturally supporting social distancing
  • For those seeking even more personal space, we offer private dolphin programs
  • While there is no indication that a dolphin will catch a human respiratory illness through casual human contact, we still require guests and marine mammal specialists to wash their hands before and after each dolphin interaction program

Rescheduling and Cancellation Flexibility

We appreciate that the situation is continuing to evolve and offer the following flexibility with rescheduling and cancellations:

  • Programs can be rescheduled through May 31, 2020 without penalty
  • If you are experiencing any signs of respiratory illness at the time of your dolphin encounter, please reschedule
  • Please email us at [email protected] or call us at 800-248-3316 if you need to reschedule or cancel, so that we can plan accordingly
