At the National Museum of Bermuda

Dolphin Quest invites local and overseas school groups to visit us at the historical National Museum of Bermuda in the Royal Naval Dockyard, to participate in exciting educational experiences and learn about dolphins and other fascinating sea creatures through fun and engaging activities.

We also provide interactive educational opportunities for higher education students and those who are interested in pursuing a career related to marine animals and our ocean. For a list of recommended educational resources pertaining to marine animals and the ocean please click here.

Onsite Field Trip

Join us for a customized age-appropriate conservation and dolphin themed lesson.

Program details as follows:

Education level: Preschool through college
Length of lesson: 30 minutes
Program cost:  Per student pricing and 2 complimentary chaperone admissions

$8/student – Lagoon side themed dolphin demo.

$18/student – Lagoon side themed dolphin demo with optional added dockside dolphin interaction

Available:   Weekdays on request, subject to availability. Submit your date preferences on the Request Form.

  • Post demo Q & A with a Marine Mammal Specialist
  • Optional 5 minute dry dockside dolphin interaction opportunity

  • Groups larger than 15 students may require additional time allocations
  • Alternate dates and times subject to availability
  • Two complimentary admissions for chaperones are included for all education programs

Virtual Field Trip

Join a Dolphin Quest Marine Mammal Specialist for a 30-minute customized age appropriate conservation and dolphin themed lesson.

Education level: Preschool through college
Length of lesson: 30 minutes
Program cost:    $150/ group

Available:  Weekdays on request, subject to availability – September through April

  • 30-minute age-appropriate interactive educational lessons
  • Connect through Zoom or other pre-approved e-learning platform
  • Post-lesson Q & A opportunity with a Marine Mammal specialist
  • Open to local and overseas school groups
  • Minimum group size is 10 students
  • Maximum group size is 60 students
  • Groups larger than 60 students will require a separate reservation
  • Alternate times subject to availability
  • Lessons align with National Education Standards, the Cambridge Curriculum, STEM, and Ocean Literacy Principles

Curriculum Summary

  • Join us for a series of multiple lessons in an alternate learning environment that connects students to nature and science through interactive teaching methods
  • These lessons are scheduled within the academic school year and are designed to complement the science curriculum at key year levels
  • Option to include a post program dry dock dolphin interaction
  • Lesson themes can be customized to complement the curriculum objectives.
  • Two complimentary admissions for chaperones are included for all education programs

Site Visit

  • Watch our dolphins from the nearby viewing area located inside the National Museum of Bermuda
  • Entrance to the Museum is free, but you must book in advance
