Dolphin Quest School and College Programs: Bermuda

Dolphin Quest invites local and overseas school groups to visit us at the majestic National Museum of Bermuda in the Royal Naval Dockyard, to participate in exciting educational experiences and learn about dolphins and other amazing sea creatures through fun and engaging activities.

We also provide interactive educational opportunities for higher education students and those who are interested in pursuing a career related to marine animals and our ocean.

Classroom Experience: a 45-minute customized age appropriate conservation and dolphin themed lesson.

6 lesson mini-series: Ministry of Education & Cambridge Curriculum mapped lessons for years P2, P4, P6 and M2. This includes a dolphin interaction during the last lesson.

Site Visit: organize a class trip to Dolphin Quest to view the dolphins and visit the museum. Classes are welcome to visit Dolphin Quest and visit the dolphins as part of their museum visit. Reservations are not required. Please contact the National Museum of Bermuda for school field trip guidelines.


Classroom Experience

Education level: Preschool through college 
Length of lesson: 45 minutes
Program cost (lesson only): $8 per child
Program Lesson Plus Dolphin Interaction: $18 per child

September – June
Monday – Friday at 12:45pm – 1:15pm

  • 45 minute age appropriate interactive educational lessons 
  • Optional post lesson Dolphin interaction opportunity 
  • Open to local and visiting overseas school groups
  • Available September through June
  • Minimum group size is 10 students
  • Groups larger than 25 students may require additional time allocations 
  • Alternate dates and times subject to availability
  • Two complimentary admissions for chaperones are included for all education programs.

*Dolphin interactions are subject to age, number of students, weather, and time of year.

6 Lesson Mini Series

Education level: P2, P4, P6 and M2
Number of lessons: 6 (booked in advance)
Length of lesson: 45 minutes
Program cost: $40 per child for 6 lessons (includes dolphin interaction*)

September – March

Curriculum summary

  • Join us for a series of six lessons in an alternate learning environment that connects students to nature and science through interactive teaching methods.
  • These lessons are scheduled within the academic school year and are designed to complement the Science Curriculum at key year levels.
  • The final week’s lesson includes a post program dry dock Dolphin interaction.
  • Lessons have been mapped in accordance with the Bermuda Ministry of Education Science Checklist and Cambridge Curriculum Scheme of Work Science and Mathematics Stages.
  • Corresponding Objectives, Terms, Units and Framework Codes are noted on each Mini Series Outline which can be provided upon request.
  • Two complimentary admissions for chaperones are included for all education programs.

Site Visit

  • Watch our dolphins from the nearby viewing area located inside the National Museum of Bermuda.
  • Entrance to the Museum is free, but you must book in advance.
